Why is it....?

Why is it . . .

That no matter how many clothes may be hanging in the closet - I have nothing to wear?

Why is it . . .

That Man-Child doesn't seem as invested in his future as I am?

Why is it . . .

That no-one seems to be online at the same time as I am?

Why is it . . .

That the weekend seems to fly by - while the week drags on? (and yes, I do realize that it is only Friday night....but Monday is LOOMING people!)

Why is it . . .

That BP can't fix their "problem?"

Why is it . . .

That the government simply cannot stay out of our private lives?

Why is it . . .

That no matter what formatting I apply, Blogger seems to mess it up when I hit "Publish?"

Why is it . . .

That the fashion industry can't see what is in my head when I go shopping and provide what I am looking for?

Why is it . . .

That some people just cannot grasp the concept of professional behavior in a professional setting? (or professional dressing for that matter.....)

Why is it . . .

That MANAGEMENT insists on treating us like children?

Why is it . . .

That some people treat social networking (FaceBook, etc.) like it's their own personal platform for promoting their (multi-level marketing, i.e. cult) business?  (Newsflash!  I already hate FaceBook - you are quickly making it my mortal enemy!)

Why is it . . .

That most of you seem to post more earlier in the week than later (when I am more likely to be online - yes, totally contradicting my earlier edict)?

Happy Weekend, Y'all!

  1. I was going thru my closet today and thought, "Wow, hubs is right, I DO have a lot of clothes!"

OMG I took the kids shopping today and I have to post about what I saw...people really need to learn how to dress and how to dress their children. Just sayin'!

  2. Can I get an agree button? No? Meh
    Agree x howevermanythingsyoupostedhere.

I have tons of clothes, more than half of them are in a strage unit 5 states away...so let me rephrase..I have a lot of winter clothes. In summer, in Mississippi.
I could respond to each and every one of those statements with something funny and quirky, but it'd end up being longer than your original post because I am operating on 2 hours of sleep and can't seem to be concise.
    So let's leave it as.
    Kudos! I agree, Gigi!!

  3. Absolutely! (and I have 4 that weren't nearly as invested in their futures as I was)

  4. Remember my post on clothes...they are in 3 stages....some too small, hope to get into them, some to big, don't want to get in them, but just in case.....and that leaves just a few that fit just fine. I sound like the three bears.

  5. One thing that changes after retirement is the weekend. It used to be my favorite time of the week and now it's just like all the other days! Really fun post, Gigi!

  6. Okay -- I posted this Saturday morning and avoid FaceBook like the plague.

And happy weekend to you and enjoyed your post immensely...'specially since you voiced all of our thoughts.

  8. I don't know.

Let's Google it. Surely the answers we seek are on Google.

I mean...where else would we ever look?

I generally respond to comments via email...if your blog/id is not tied to your email, I will attempt to respond here...but I would strongly suggest that you make your email available if you want to continue the conversation.

Unfortunately, for some reason people with Yahoo emails are receiving bounce-backs. Your comment will be published but I won't be notified; but I will respond once I realize you've left a comment.
