How is it that no one has pointed out the obvious to me?

As I may have mentioned a few posts back, I've been wandering aimlessly through this vacation.

Nothing is getting accomplished and I've been bored.

Last night it hit me.

THERE'S NO LIST!

And, as we all know, with me being a person who needs to have things to do that means I need lists.  I just don't know what came over me that I completely forgot to make a list.

So last night I made a list of things that I want to accomplish.  Now being that vacation will be coming to a close on Monday, it is not an ambitious list - just a few little things that I want/need to get done before then.

Things that, while in the big picture don't seem to mean much, will make me happy that they are complete.

Although, the more I think on it, the more I want to call a do-over.

Do you think the powers at be will let me start my vacation over?  No?  Yeah, I didn't think so either.

Oh, and Symdaddy?  What the hell is rugby?  Is that a football-like game where the players are crazy and don't wear padding??  I couldn't bear to watch if he wasn't wearing padding.....

  1. I can't believe you didn't ask me - I would've told you ... I live by them - within reason anyway ... :) I make a general list on my calendar for what I would LIKE to accomplish.

Also - you can just wander aimlessly ... nothing wrong with that - it's called DOWN time. LOL!
Have fun no matter what - I think you CAN'T avoid that being Gigi! God bless!

  5. Life without a list is ... well, it's just plain wrong!

I have lists for everything from shopping to getting dressed (yes I do know how to dress myself! The list is only to stop me putting things on in the wrong order).

Rugby is believed to have come about 1823 when William Webb Ellis "with fine disregard for the rules of football (soccer) as played in his time at Rugby school, first took the ball in his arms and ran with it, thus originating the distinctive feature of the Rugby game"

In my view (being a soccer fan) rugby is a girlie-game designed for men who like to fondle each other in a ruck.

You will be surprised to learn that there are fewer injuries in the game of rugby than there are in American football. And you are right! Rugby is a padding-less sport.

  6. I like making lists, but the damnest thing happens, I lose them half way through. I think it is menopause. My memory has left me, and I misplace EVERYTHING. I have to make a list of what I need in the kitchen when I leave my office, so I put a sticky note attached to my forehead so I don't lose it. Pathetic. Mama never told me there would be days like this...

  7. I rarely make lists.

My Mom, however, does all the time.

And a lot of my friends do too.

We have Rugby here. My high school was often the Provincial champions. It's a rugged sport for sure.
